Family,
Please please forward this to any family you know. I do not have alot of e-mail addresses.
Just wanted to remind everyone of our Family Picnic at Irvine Park on Saturday, June 23rd at 11am.
There is a fee to get into the park ($3). As of now, we know we are going to have a softball game, relay races, horseshoes, a bounce house.
Aniela and Cesar have been so kind to volunteer to be at the park by 5:30am to reserve the perfect place we have picked out. There will be signs. When you enter the park you will make your immediate right and follow the arrows all the way around. The best place to park would be in the zoo and nature center parking lot.
If anyone feels a need to help the following is needed:
Does anyone have a volleyball net and ball to let us use. If so, please let me know so that we can make arrangements before the picnic to get this. The poles are first come first serve and will need to set it up as soon as we get there that morning.
Also, if anyone wants to bring already filled up water balloons, please let me know. If Aniela and I do all of them, we might not have any fingers left. (And Christine this doesn't mean you, you have already helped enough with helping with the games - Gracias very much!)
Last, if anyone wants to be in charge of getting a pinata and filling it with goodies and bringing rope and stick please let me know - It wouldn't be a Torres Party without a pinata for all us kids.
I think that is it. We are having a softball game as I mentioned before, so if you want to bring your own glove, please do so.
Hope all is well with all of you.
Lorann

Happy New Year to you and your families!!!
Family & Friends:
2005 was a great year for us. We hope it was for you too. In case you have not heard, 2006 will mark a new chapter in our lives, one that has “Oklahoma City” in it.
I have recently been promoted from Terminal Manager in Kansas City and will be working as Superintendent of Operations in Oklahoma City; beginning in Mid. Jan. Pamela and the kids will join me down there, hopefully in late Feb., once our house in Kansas is sold. We have mixed emotions about this move, as it will bring many new challenges as well as opportunities for us.
In my new position, I will be responsible for daily train operations over 400 miles of railroad, in three different states. (Mostly Oklahoma) My territory will span from Arkansas City KS, (Pronounced Ark. City) south to Gainesville TX, and from Madill OK, north to Tulsa.
We have made lots of great memories in Kansas, both in our neighborhood and community. From the neighborhood barbecues and activities, to the infamous “decorated” cement horse that moved from house to house, all on its own! Pamela’s bible study group and her teaching at Church, to the girls being involved in Girl Scouts; and let’s not forget the Corvette Club. Yes, Kansas is a wonderful State and Olathe is a great place to live.
We will miss our neighborhood friends and the kids wonderful new school, but are looking forward to being closer to family. If you look at a map, you will notice that, with the exception of Pop & Cherie, Ok. City is smack dab, right in the middle of our parents, as well as other family. We can go East 230 miles and be in Bella Vista with Georgie & Cal. We can go West 259 miles and be in Amarillo with Margie and Tom and John & Sally. And last but not least we can go South 203 mile and be in Plano, where Mandy lives.
We will keep you all posted as we begin this new chapter in our lives. We hope that 2006 will keep you all healthy, happy & prosperous. May God Bless you and your families in 2006!
Peace be with you –
The Mullen Family – Pamela, Akayla, Lauren, Connor and Dad too…………………
